Pleas see attached membership information
WGHS has a leadership team (WGLT) composed of administration, teachers, staff and parents.
The purpose of WGLT is to make decisions related to school finances (budget) and curriculum at Western Guilford. WGLT will deal with issues directly and indirectly related to instruction, student performance, school climate and improvement.
There are four parent representatives that serve on the WGLT during the school year.
Parent representatives shall be elected by the parents and guardians of children currently enrolled at Western Guilford in an election conducted by the PTSO. Parent representatives shall reflect the racial and socioeconomic composition of Western Guilford (if such parents agree to serve) and shall not be members of the building level staff.
We are seeking interest from any parent willing to serve.
Please complete the information in the attachment below and send it to the front office at Western Guilford or e-mail it to Maureen Demarest Murray at maureen.murray@smithmoorelaw.com. Contact Maureen at 378-5258 during the day with any questions.
Minutes for the 6/28/10 PTSO meeting can be found in PTSO Projects/WGHS PTSO file cabinet
The staff of Western Guilford High School would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to you for all that you have done to support us during this academic year and in particular, for the lovely meals, treats, and prizes that you provided to us last week during Teacher Appreciation Week. What a wonderful change from the norm to be able to enjoy lunch and breakfast while pleasantly conversing with our colleagues and friends! Those who won door prizes last Friday are especially thankful for your generosity.
Thank you again for your support as we strive to provide the Western community with a meaningful educational experience!
Sincerely,
The Staff of Western Guilford High School
